Nora performs regularly now with Blue Lew at several different music venues in the Destin Fl. area and also holds down the Keyboards whenever "Big Daddy O" comes to town and plays with his "Florida Band". Most recently, she was in the final 3 nominations for Best Keyboardist" and Best Female Vocalist" for the 1st Annual Beachcomber Music Awards, Which was produced By her husband Blue Lew Hogue ...quite an honor from the Emerald Coast's Premiere Entertainment Magazine! She has also kept her guitar chops up and "Marta" still joins her onstage from time to time. She has been writing more music and collaborating with Lew on some new original songs releasing a CD by their band, "The Loco Locals", in 2008.
Besides playing regular gigs, Nora began teaching guitar and piano on the side and realized that, without any formal teaching training, she was very good at it! Her students were soon sought after by local junior and senior high school jazz bands and still continue take lessons from her. "I'm so proud of my kids and all they have accomplished! My first guitar student, David, now plays better than I do, but he's still learning the theory behind chords and scales. It's as if he's found a whole new world!" Her schedule is almost full, but she tries to keep taking on more students, and those who have moved on (out of town) still keep in touch with her.

In 1983, Nora Wixted and John Autin formed "Rabadash Records" - to release her 1st 45 "The Blues Lose"...The two tracks below are the A & B side of that release.
